MTI Names Thaine Allison New Vice President of Engineering and Products
Hillsboro, Ore. - October 12, 2006 - MTI said today that Thaine Allison has joined the company's executive team as vice president of engineering and products.
Reporting to CEO, Mike Cook, he has responsibility for the strategies and plans that guide the design and development of MTI's systems and products used by major retailers and brand manufacturers worldwide for the merchandising of a variety of consumer electronics and other products.
Thaine Allison was selected for the position as a result of his multi-disciplinary engineering leadership experience. In his career, he has been involved in leading all aspects of hardware and software product development and management. He has attributed much of his success to effectively managing internal and outside resources such as designers, consultants and contract manufacturers, as well as purchasing off-the-shelf solutions to best meet the needs of the customer.

Thaine Allison most recently was director of advanced development at Beaverton, Oregon-based Cascade Microtech, a worldwide leader in the electrical measurement and testing of semiconductor integrated circuits and chips. Previously, he held engineering management positions with Watkins-Johnson Company and the Ground Systems Division of FMC Corporation.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology from California Polytechnic State University, and a Master in Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
