Strategic Account Manager

Strategic Account Manager
This position exists to provide high touch to two of MTI’s most strategic customers located in the Minneapolis area. This includes strategic and tactical development of existing customers as well as growth in new areas.
The incumbent will work out of MTI headquarters located in the Portland, Oregon metro area and travel to Minneapolis to provide strong account management, sales, and stellar service to our core accounts.
In this role, you will identify and cultivate the best business opportunities driving MTI towards high growth opportunities. The Strategic Account Manager, will be responsible for addressing and resolving day-to-day requests from these customers; owns and develops the overall account plan and best relationship with the customer; and drives the responsiveness of the entire MTI Account Management team and the company as a whole. In addition, you will exceed our customers’ expectation and in-turn assist in winning new business, increasing market share by introducing company products as business solutions, and providing consistent sales account management services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Finance or similar field of study, or the equivalent experience, skills and education required
- Minimum 5 years’ account management experience and proven experience working with interactive display, fixtures or Branded Manufacturers
- Strong background working with customers to create a retail shopping experience (with national retailers, or branded retailers).
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and utilizing a Customer Relationship Management software (i.e. Salesforce.com)
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, specifically using formulas, manipulating and sorting of data and order integrity.
- Ability to travel 40-50% of the time
This position reports to the Sales Operations Manager and is located in Hillsboro, OR right off the Orenco Stations Max tracks.
