Manufacturing Test Engineer II

Summary
The Manufacturing Test Engineer II is responsible for testing applications
and platforms developed by MTI Product Engineering, and moving validated
products through release and handoff to MTI Manufacturing. Additionally,
sustaining functions for products and platforms are provided by this
individual.
- Organize and implement test plans for products under development
- Test software applications (black box scenario)
- Test hardware elements and platforms
- Test and validation of product configurations
- Work closely with MTI Quality Department to release products
to manufacturing
- Contribute to manufacturing process design and support
MTI Manufacturing as appropriate
- Work with MTI Product Marketing to create manuals, documentation,
etc.
- Maintain legacy platforms
- Maintain version control and archive product specifications
- Work with MTI Customer Support to resolve sustaining issues
- Work closely with MTI Quality Department to resolve product
issues
- Prepare maintenance releases
- Material and excess inventory disposition planning
- Clearly
document activities, results, status, recommendations, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A 2-year engineering degree from an accredited University, or
equivalent plus 5 years experience in software QA testing, or
a 4-year engineering degree from an accredited University or equivalent
plus 2 years experience in software QA testing, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prefer 2+ years of software QA testing experience
- Advanced PC platform skills
- In-depth knowledge of Windows-based
software and hardware
- In-depth knowledge of audio, video and computer video standards
- Knowledge
of LAN and WAN technologies
This position reports to the Product Engineer and
is located at MTI headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon near the Max tracks. For
