Part-time Information technology Intern
Successful candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve desktop computer hardware and software issues. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide 1st tier help desk support to all staff.
- Log all incoming problems/requests and actions taken to resolve them.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems and fulfill requests.
- Refer unresolved problems to higher-level support person.
- Provide follow-up status to end users in accordance with specified support policies and procedures.
- Install software and configure both new & used desktop and laptop computers.
- Maintain & audit all computer equipment inventories.
- Support in-house & remote users on hardware issues, Microsoft Office 2000, & other common desktop applications.
- Assist in the relocation of computer and telecommunications equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required and at least 1-2 years of previous IT support experience
- Must have knowledge of PC hardware environment, printers, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Office products.
- Be able to work effectively as a team member; be pleasant, professional, and courteous.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide strong customer service at all organizational levels.
